The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning has created the above video to help support local food systems. By producing more of the food we consume locally, we keep money in the region, support local businesses, and have fresh, delicious food to eat. This 5-minute video features local individuals who represent different components of our food system.

Check out Evanston Eats' sister site, Food Vote 2013. The Food Vote 2013 website facilitates political participation in the food and farm system by mapping food policies, hosting food and farm platforms by local candidates and officials, sending out action alerts on legislation, and sponsoring civic engagement projects such as participatory budgeting.
